Removing unused station from "this computer"

Today, many computers come with a so-called card reader, a convenient way to access all kinds of memory cards (SD, XD and a lot of other formats).

Disadvantage of this card readers is that they ensure you with a whole battery of extra stations which appear when you look in "my computer". The amount can be so much that you actually have no idea what station you have to click to view the contents of the memory card you put into your computer.

Of course, Windows 7 has a solution for this behaviour. Go into the Windows 7 controlpanel (start-> configuration), select "folder options" and after that select "view" at the top of the screen for. The following window appears (in this case it's a screenshot in the Dutch language):

Windows 7 venster mapopties
In the above window, click on "Hide Empty drives in the computer folder" and then click "OK".

If you now again go to "this computer" you will see that the number of stations is reduced considerably (provided you of course has a card reader).
